Boortree Touring Terms and Conditions

Here at Boortree Touring our guests’ enjoyment and safety is paramount and therefore we ask you to read the following Terms and Conditions before making your booking.

COVID Restriction – You must be self sufficient in your caravan/motorhome.

Terms & Conditions

Advance Bookings
Advance booking is essential, weekends, Bank Holidays and during July and August are particularly busy. Bookings may be made online on www.rossnowlaghtouring.com or by telephoning reception on 00 353 851655917. At time of booking full contact details are required and payment must be received in full by credit/debit card or cash. By booking you give permission for your contact details to be retained on our computer system.

Cancellations / Amendments

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Please note that all bookings are non refundable and non transferable once made, booking dates are fixed and cannot be changed or transferred to another person.

In the event that the campsite cannot open due to Covid-19 restrictions, or customers can not travel to The Boortree due to exceptional circumstances such as serious illness or family bereavement affected bookings will be cancelled and refunded.(Appropriate documentation e.g. a medical note must be forwarded in order to process this refund). Refunds cannot be made for any amendments made to the booking on arrival, during stay or early departure. If you need to make a change to your booking please contact us as soon as possible to see if this is possible. Any changes will incur an administration fee of €10.00.

No Shows
Unfortunately failure to arrive without explanation or written cancellation, cannot be dealt with through transfer or refund. If notification not given and the pitch is not occupied by 10.00pm on the day following the day of expected arrival, payment is forfeited and we reserve the right to re-let the pitch.

Party Size / Age Restrictions

We cater for families, couples and small groups generally not exceeding 4 people. All group bookings must be pre-booked and agreed by management.
A maximum block booking of 3 pitches is allowable, however due to our layout and booking system unfortunately we cannot guarantee that caravans and motorhomes booked in together will be directly beside each other on the Park. Persons aged under 18 years of age accompanied by adult family members who will be responsible for their conduct are welcome. The maximum caravan/motorhome occupancy will be applicable to all bookings with one number caravan/motorhome per pitch.
We have a limited number of pitches for twin axle caravans, please contact reception to discuss this. As a registered tourist facility, we are unable to accommodate Commercial Vehicles, or other non-tourist units.

Extended Stays
Extensions can be arranged, subject to availability and possible relocation, although there is no guarantee that pitches can be extended beyond the date booked. If you wish to extend your stay, please check with Reception as soon as possible and we will endeavour to facilitate your request.

Minimum Nights
The following minimum stays apply: – Weekends – 2 nights – Bank holidays & Easter – 3 nights

Prices and Payment
All published prices include VAT and are subject to change without prior notification. The total amount payable is the same regardless of payment method.

Waiting Lists
For fully booked dates customers can be added to a waiting list and if any vacancies arise you will be notified by telephone.

Arrival / Late Arrivals
Your arrival is welcome from 1.00pm onwards. On arrival please check in at Reception where you will be asked to confirm your occupancy details and will be given a copy of the Park information, which you agreed to abide with by making a booking. Access to the Park will be permitted on receipt of payment in full and completion of check in on arrival. Only persons declared on the booking form can be accommodated. Except by prior arrangement, we will not have space if you arrive early. Reception is open until 7.00pm on weeknights, 8.30pm on Friday & Saturday and 7.00pm on Sunday. If you wish to arrive after this time please notify Reception by telephoning, 00 353 851655917 so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Departure
All pitches must be vacated by 12 noon of the day of departure. A late check out of 4.00pm may be possible, please check with Reception on the morning of departure.

Pitch Allocation
Customers will be informed of their pitch number on arrival, the touring pitch is allocated according to the specified requirements made at the time of booking and is determined by the computerised booking system. Whilst every effort will be made to meet specific requirements for a particular pitch e.g. proximity to facilities, unfortunately no guarantee can be given. All caravans/motorhomes must be set up in positions as indicated by staff. Before pitching please ensure you have checked your pitch number, confirmed on arrival, to avoid being asked to move should you have pitched in error.

Services
All pitches are hard stands with water and 16amp electricity. Chemical Waste Disposal is located at a central point in the Park.

Awnings
The majority of pitches can accommodate awnings and if required should be specified at the time of booking. Unfortunately, we cannot always guarantee caravanners an awning suitable pitch, particularly during peak occupancy. Please note no groundsheets or mats are permitted in awnings. During adverse weather conditions you may be requested to take your awning down, for your own safety and that of fellow guest. Please note that if an awning is booked, no refunds can be made if the awning is not put up.

Boortree Touring – Site Rules

The following simple site rules are firmly based on the principles of common sense and respect. We expect that all our guests will adhere to these simple site rules during their stay to respect both their surroundings and fellow guests. In doing so this will ensure an enjoyable holiday is had by all.

Behaviour
Please respect the privacy of other guests and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10.00pm and 9.00am, with absolute quiet between midnight and 8.00am.
Musical instruments/audio players/radios must not be played after 10.00pm.
No trespassing on adjoining properties or causing nuisance to other landowners.
Outdoor dining must finish by 10.30pm.
We reserve the right to require guests who contravene these terms and conditions or, who in any other way are behaving in a manner likely to cause distress or nuisance to others, to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances your stay at the Park ceases and we shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you. [We will refund the proportion of the fee you have paid in respect of outstanding nights].

Recreation
Ball games and other games are permitted only in the areas set aside for recreation. Games cannot be played in the vicinity of caravan and motorhome pitches.
Bicycles, Skateboards, Wheelies, Roller-skating or Rollerblading is not permitted within the park.
Due to the proximity of overhead power lines and risk of accidental damage, kite flying in not permitted in the Park.

Children [under (14)]
Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.
Children are to be supervised at all times to ensure they do not create a nuisance or endanger themselves or others.
Children must be accompanied to toilets by adults.
Children’s playtime, all ball games and other play activities end when darkness falls [July and August 10pm]

Vehicles
One car is permitted per pitch. Extra vehicles or visitors’ cars must be notified to Reception. Commercial Vehicles are not permitted on site.
Speed must be kept to 5 km per hour and pedestrians and cyclists must be given priority.
Quad bikes, trials bikes and Scooters are not permitted on the park.

Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the Park. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times on the Park and you must clean up if the animal defecates on the Park.
The permission for a dog may be withdrawn if management considers the animal is a nuisance.
Any dog of a breed listed in the Control of Dogs Regulations 1998 shall not be permitted on the campsite, namely the American Pit Bull Terrier; English Bull Terrier; Staffordshire Bull Terrier; Bull Mastiff; Doberman Pinscher; German Shepherd (Alsatian); Rhodesian Ridgeback; Rottweiler; Japanese Akita; Japanese Tosa and to every dog of the type commonly known as a Ban Dog (or Bandog).

Fires / BBQ’s
Open campfires are not permitted on the Park. Free standing BBQ’s are allowed on the park. Stands are available at Reception for disposable BBQ’s.

Visitors
All your visitors must obtain our permission before entering the park.
Visitors must leave the park by 9.30pm.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your visitors adhere to Park rules.
If management finds that your visitor is disobeying Park rules this may result in your visitor’s permission to enter the park being withdrawn.

Refuse
To help maintain a sustainable and environmentally friendly Park please recycle all glass, cardboard and household refuse in the appropriately marked bins.
Littering is strictly forbidden. Cigarette butts should be discarded carefully and appropriately, in the interest of safety.

Washing
Washing/clothes cannot be hung on fences or hedges. Rotary lines are only permitted subject to the permission of the Management, in the interest of safety.

Fire Precautions
Fire hoses and other safety equipment cannot be used for any improper purpose.

Complaints Procedure
Should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of your stay you should please contact Management and we will try to resolve the issue promptly. In the unlikely event of Management not being able to rectify the problem or if you remain dissatisfied please leave your complaint in writing at Reception and we will endeavour to resolve any outstanding issues.

Liability
Anyone found defacing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property within the Park or belonging to other guest faces immediate eviction and/or prosecution. The person who made the booking will be responsible for the cost of rectifying any damage/breakages/loss caused by themselves or their visitor. Your vehicles and their contents and accessories are left at your own risk. The Boortree Touring or its staff shall not be liable for the loss, theft or damage of any property whilst they remain on the Park nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person in the Park, unless the same be caused or contributed to by any negligence or default on the part of Boortree Touring. Customers must ensure that their property is secure at all times and fully insured for any unforeseen eventuality.

Data Protection
All information taken at the time of booking is collected solely for the purpose of processing your booking at Boortree Touring. As part of our ongoing monitoring and promotion of the Park we may email you with details of late availability, future events or developments on the Park. If you do not wish to receive any communication from The Boortree please email us on info@rossnowlaghtouring.com

By booking a pitch you agree to abide by the above terms and conditions and confirm you have familiarised yourself with the park information.

General
Management reserve the right to refuse any booking. As we are a holiday touring site we only accept holidaymakers and cannot accommodate those using caravans for residential or employment purposes or as a base to carry out a trade/business of any form.
Management has the right to decline acceptance of any overnight application for any reason. In particular, if any application contains misrepresentations the Management may decline acceptance.
Management reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking where we feel that the comfort of our guests may be compromised.

Dear Guest,
As a small family run business we are available at all times to assist with any queries you might have while staying with us. We manage the Park in a thorough yet discrete manner and hope our guests will appreciate that, although our presence may not always be obvious we are never far away. On arrival you will be furnished with contact details to ensure you have full access to us at all times.
Finally, as a guest in our small independent campsite we would like to make your stay and that of your fellow guests as enjoyable as possible. Terms & conditions exist and we will make you aware of them on arrival. They can also be found by clicking here.
